It has been an exciting fall in Admissions – ASIST members have already attended 60 college fairs in just September and October alone! We couldn’t do it without you, so thank you very much!
Everyone should have received a letter from me with some important updates – please let me know if you did not receive it. A couple important items from the letter:
- Something exciting we are offering for the first time this upcoming summer is the Summer Hawk Tuition Grant, which is a grant that lets nonresident students pay resident tuition for up to 12 credits of summer school, a $9,435 value based on 2013 tuition. All first-year students are automatically eligible, and there is no application. Students can use the grant any summer after a year in which they enroll in at least 24 credits.
- We continue to do the self-report system and this has been a very positive thing – students like hearing back within 48 hours of applying. Students still are required to submit a final transcript after they accept admission.
Lastly, if you are interested in utilizing technology (either an iPad/tablet or laptop) at your college fair, feel free to utilize this Admissions power point presentation to show some additional photos and draw additional interest to your table.
If you are carving pumpkins this year make sure and download a Hawkeye stencil this year from the Alumni Association blog and show your Hawkeye spirit!
Go Hawks!
