Every year after July 4, I pretty much feel like school is about to start any day! It seems the summer just zooms by after the 4th. It’s definitely quiet on campus this time of year in Iowa City, but the Admission Visitors Center is still hosting many campus visitors – today we are seeing 160 campus visitors! Needless to say, the Admissions staff is all sporting our black and gold.
Katie Galbreath graduated and ended her term as the ASIST student coordinator in May. She is currently working as an intern in Iowa City at Summer of the Arts and then will move to Florida to be an intern at Disneyworld – who else is jealous?! Liz Vadakara is the new ASIST student coordinator. She has already reached out to a number of you to recruit you for college fair participation. If you haven’t heard from her yet, I’m sure you will soon. Check out the ‘Meet the ASIST Coordinators’ Page to learn more about Liz! She looks forward to getting to know you all better.
If any of you are planning on visiting campus this Summer, please stop by the Admission Visitors Center – we would love to meet you in person and show you around the Admissions Headquarters.
On Iowa! Go Hawks!
