Hello!
It seems like just yesterday (or July 2011) that I was beginning to send out mass-college fair S.O.S. invitations and now, as of Saturday, I will be graduating the University of Iowa with a Communications degree and becoming an ASIST member myself! Time flies!
I just wanted to thank you all so much for all of your cooperation and hard work over the past two years with helping us recruit current & potential Hawkeyes from all across the country. We truly couldn’t do it without all of your help. Furthermore, thanks for putting up with all my inbox-flooding email invites and having patience with materials arrivals. Joanna and I are so thankful for all the volunteer hours you’ve spent at college fairs, time spent calling admitted students, or assisting at receptions/admissions events! Call me biased, but I’m positive that the University of Iowa has the best and most dedicated alumni on the planet!
I’m sure we can all go on and on about the wonderful memories we have about the University of Iowa and I’m lucky to add my ASIST experience to my college experience as well, mainly because I get to know awesome alum like you! It’s been awesome getting to know you all and sharing stories of campus memories/on goings/emotions about Hawkeye football. I hope to one day have as much Hawkeye pride as you all clearly have!
Unfortunately, now I have to go out in the real world, but fortunately, we may cross paths again in the ASIST world! I’m so happy to be able to finally see the other side of the program and help encourage prospective students to think Iowa as their college destination! In August, I will be moving down to Orlando, FL to work at the House of Mouse (DisneyWorld) so if you’re ever down visiting, feel free to contact me! I hope to stay connected with all of you through LinkedIn/email and continue to share Hawkeye stories for many years to come.
So thanks again for making my time at the Office of Admissions a great one and with that,
On Iowa! GO HAWKS!
