I was lucky enough to head southwest to Arizona and Nevada for a Spring Break last week. It was great to finally experience some warm weather and sunshine! I decided to take my plush Herky with me on the trip and take a few fun pictures of him in some exciting places.

The first photo is Herky at the Grand Canyon…wow it was so beautiful there! Lots of tourists were there and I of course got a few strange looks as I was taking a photo of a stuffed animal in front of one of the most beautiful places in the world! I got a particularly weird glance from someone wearing an Iowa State shirt…imagine that, miles away from home and I see a Cyclone!

The second photo is Herky in Las Vegas on the strip. What a crazy time I had in Vegas! I was there when it was St. Patrick’s Day and when March Madness started so there were a lot of people in the sports betting rooms. I ended up losing $20 at the slots, but I figured that wasn’t too bad a dent in my wallet.

I hope you all get to enjoy some kind of break this Spring! My break helped rejuvenate me and energize me for the rest of the semester!
